Made from a chicken coop - I helped Dad build this house.

Mom and Dad Cleaned up Nicely.

This is the house we moved into when I was in third grade. I felt as if we were upwardly mobile. We would gain and lose homes like this off and on over the years as my Pop's Steelworkers Union would strike often enough to keep us on the edge of poverty.

At 6 I took up the life of a cowboy. (Probably Roy Rogers or Hoppalong Cassidy).

Poppa's got a brand new bag! I was smitten - she seems happy too. Maybe I shoulda married her - but the marrying comes later...

Parked with my dream girl at Lover's Point.

Ready for winter - same pants but lovely new sweater.

I thought sis was getting her bike she though I was getting mine. Boy were we surprised...

Animals I fear.
In a moment the horse will turn and look at me and I will scream for my life. I still remember this...

Animals I love
The dog I used to give a hard time to... And the Dad I'd give a hard time to later.

My Sis looked out for me a lot when I was growing up

Precocious- I walked at 9 months. Shown here dancing at 1 year (potentially singing.)

Only my sister in this picture. I am hiding so am invisible (maybe i'm 2 here)

Dad my Sis and Three little tiny fellers. According to stories I've heard I used to pull this dog's ears somethin' fierce. But it didn't seem to mind. Probably influenced by another ever-present spit bubble.

I'm really into sports.

My Sis was always around when I was growin' up. She was pretty nice to me.

Onward and Upward
This year I published my (3-volume) autobiography. Really the autobiography is just one book but I also published what I would call the two other parts of the story. During a time of incredible change and movement toward mysticism I wrote White Buffalo Herd. During another time of confusion as to what I could do with what we learned studying AI I wrote Early Jim Hutton.

Both these complementary volumes are also published at this time. All three could stand a good editor''s touch but otherwise are a reflection of my "State of the Union".

Draft of First Fiction Novel WBH
White Buffalo Herd was a novel I wrote while developing the demo software (running on HP 95) of a novel. We had a copy of Jurassic Park digitized, but no copyright permission.

When I read the book, I decided I could write a novel like that, so I did. As I traveled for Motorola, I began to write my own version of a novel. It became quite fun actually, and I would look forward to adding a new twist and letting the characters develop themselves. The result turned out pretty nice. But I would hold on for years before I let the book "out into the wild." I self published it and sold maybe a dozen copies to myself (it was cheaper than xeroxing.)

I really sold out this time to the establishment. It felt good to have a steady income after being on my own with Hufco. And radio depended too much on the whims of management.

Rewards for taking a major market station to number one in the ratings were not forthcoming. I moved with Intel from Austin to Phoenix. I lived in Phoenix working for Motorola. Then moved back to Austin and eventually to California. Then to retire after fifteen years.

I was now remarried to the woman I had just married and annulled. We were going to have a baby. I would stick with her for a decade altogether. I was improving because I stuck with her twice as long as the other two.

I left radio and went back to work in industry. I worked for Intel starting out as a Technical Writer I was able to convert over to software development. I also got my undergraduate degree while at Intel.

Mr. D.J.
You''ll have to read the story of my life. I was a DJ on a small-town station playing rock N roll while a mere teenager. In those days DJ''s were as important as bands. I had two fan clubs.

Luckily (for me) I ended up leaving my old school to graduate from a new school. The new school was within the audience range of the radio station. I was an instant success.

Dad apparently came home on furlough during September of the previous year. I would be born 9 months plus a little later. At this point I''m a fetus so I don''t really have a recollection either on my own or by recalling stories I''m told by my parents.

I do know this. My mother''s innards were a wreck and she had no business getting pregnant with me. I found out when Mom died that I had a stillborn brother. News to me. But it explains a lot about my parents.
